The eastern coast is known for its steep cliffs and secluded coves accessible only by boat or lengthy hike. We obviously opted for the 1st option which turned out to be the most scenic boat ride we've experienced. As we rode out to our first stop of the day, we saw the Cala Goloritze known for neon blue waters and small caves that lead under the cliffs. Here we are approaching Cala Mariolu, a cove framed by vibrant white rocks and spalshed with calm, turquoise waters, brighter than a swimming pool.
From Cala Mariolu we headed to Cala Luna an impressive crescent shaped beach with white limestone caves which provided much needed shade.
The sharp cliffs and protruding rocks make this the most dramatic coastline in Sardinia. Behind us the Pedra Longa (long rock).

Finally we headed to Cala Sisine surrounded by lush green hills and covered in soft white sand. The sharp green hills create a gorge that funnels from the Salto di Sisine.
After leaving Cala Sisine we rode by the Grotta del Fico a series of caves similar to the other grottoes we visited created by running water over the past 500 million years.
